Design Plans Unveiled for New Nixa Ambulance Station

Nixa, MO: The Christian County Ambulance District is excited to unveil design plans for their new Nixa ambulance facility to be built in Nixa. Full photo renders of the initial design can be found by visiting our website or our Facebook page.

In March 2019, the Christian County Ambulance District purchased the vacant lot, located on the north side of the current station location. This site was purchased to replace the current structure with a larger facility, in order to better serve the community and provide the best possible response times to the Nixa Community and Christian County.

After a public bid and interview process, Torgerson Design Partners were chosen to oversee this project. A committee formed by CCAD has worked closely with the firm for several months to design a cost effective and up-to-date facility for the district and the community.

The new location will serve as the main posting location for 1-2 ambulances for daily operations. The new facility will increase the station from its current 900 approximate square foot, which was built in 1991, to an estimated 5,000 square foot, allowing the District to meet the needs of the growing community.

This information is intended to inform the general public of our plans. Projected completion date is October 2023.
